APPROVED: By the decision of the Board of UAB ACHEMOS GRUPĖ Concern on 2024-04-30, Protocol No. 430-2024-04

UAB ACHEMOS GRUPĖ CONCERN HUMAN RIGHTS POLICY

Purpose and Scope

The purpose of the UAB ACHEMOS GRUPĖ Concern Human Rights Policy (hereinafter referred to as the Human Rights Policy) is to define the key principles applied within UAB ACHEMOS GRUPĖ Concern and its managed subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as the Companies) to ensure that human rights are respected, and the principles of equal opportunities and non-discrimination are upheld in all areas of labor relations and relationships with stakeholders.

This Human Rights Policy applies to the Concern and all its managed Companies.

All Concern and Company employees are introduced to and required to follow this policy. When necessary, contractors, suppliers, clients, other business partners, and stakeholders may also be required to adhere to it.

In carrying out their activities, the Concern and the Companies commit to respecting and protecting human rights in all operational processes. Human rights are fundamental principles that safeguard human dignity, freedom, and mutual respect. These principles are also integral to the green transformation, ensuring its smooth and fair implementation.

General Provisions

The Concern and its Companies acknowledge and commit to fulfilling international obligations that ensure the social sustainability of their activities:

  • The Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
  • The International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions related to core labor standards;
  • The United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights;
  • The Children’s Rights and Business Principles;
  • The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises;
  • Other ILO conventions related to ensuring equal pay, eliminating forced and child labor, eliminating discrimination in employment and occupation, the right to form trade unions, and collective bargaining agreements, among others.

In addition to the above commitments, the Concern and its Companies continuously comply with all national legal requirements regulating human rights protection and equal opportunities. The Concern and its Companies do not tolerate discrimination, psychological or physical violence, sexual or other forms of harassment, forced or child labor. They support employees’ rights to form trade unions and engage in collective bargaining.

To fulfill these commitments, the Concern and its Companies aim to identify and prevent any potential negative impacts on human rights, both in direct operations and in the supply chain. Before implementing new development projects, a proportional human rights impact assessment is conducted as necessary. If risks are identified, mitigation action plans are developed and implemented, with continuous monitoring and information shared with stakeholders. Selected suppliers and business partners may be required to implement additional measures based on identified human rights risks.

When hiring employees in the Concern and its Companies, uniform selection criteria and conditions are applied to candidates, except in cases where a specific human characteristic is an essential and legitimate professional requirement due to the nature of the work. Employees are provided with equal working conditions (considering job specifics), opportunities for professional development, qualification enhancement, and practical work experience.

The Concern and its Companies strive to provide regular training and educational initiatives tailored to employees regarding human rights. The goal is to ensure that employees understand the Concern’s and Companies’ obligations in human rights and how human rights issues can positively or negatively impact business operations.

Information explaining the Concern’s and Companies’ commitments and expectations in human rights protection is shared with relevant stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, clients, and communities, as needed.

Implementation, Supervision, and Control

The Concern’s and Companies’ management, along with personnel management professionals or other delegated employees, are responsible for implementing this policy.

Any potential or actual violations of this Human Rights Policy can be reported via the Concern’s trust line: https://www.achemosgrupe.lt/pasitikejimo-linija/. Employees, business partners, clients, suppliers, their employees, community representatives, and other stakeholders can submit anonymous or non-anonymous reports through this channel.
