UAB ACHEMOS GRUPĖ CONCERN ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Purpose and Scope

The purpose of the UAB ACHEMOS GRUPĖ Concern Environmental Policy (hereinafter referred to as the Environmental Policy) is to define the key environmental principles that UAB ACHEMOS GRUPĖ Concern (hereinafter referred to as the Concern) and its managed subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as the Companies) commit to following in their operations. This policy aims to minimize environmental impact and foster a sustainability-driven culture.

This Environmental Policy applies to the Concern and all its managed Companies.

All Concern and Company employees are introduced to and required to follow this policy. Additionally, when necessary, contractors, suppliers, clients, and other business partners are expected to adhere to it.

General Provisions

To minimize environmental impact, the Concern and its Companies commit to:

• Complying with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and standards while continuously updating operational practices in response to legislative changes.
• Conducting comprehensive environmental impact assessments before initiating new development projects. These assessments include evaluating risks related to habitats, noise, pollution, air and water quality, visual impact, and wildlife preservation to ensure minimal environmental disruption.
• Monitoring environmental impact, including greenhouse gas emissions, air and soil pollution, and consumption of natural and energy resources.
• Expanding the use of low-emission transportation and gradually reducing reliance on high-emission fuels, depending on technological availability.
• Prioritizing sustainable, environmentally safe, and low-impact products and services in procurement decisions.
• Implementing responsible waste management practices, including waste prevention, sorting, recycling, and lawful disposal.
• Introducing and maintaining environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Conducting lifecycle assessments of products to align with international environmental impact declaration standards where feasible.
• Ensuring that legal environmental quality standards for water, air, soil, and noise are met or exceeded, implementing preventive measures, and adopting advanced technologies.
• Promoting the use of renewable energy solutions and “green” energy while prioritizing energy efficiency and resource conservation initiatives.
• Collaborating with governmental environmental institutions, non-governmental organizations, and local communities to identify and implement necessary environmental measures.
• Enhancing employee awareness and competency in environmental protection through training and engagement initiatives, encouraging responsible behavior and participation in sustainability efforts.
• Ensuring all employees are informed about this policy and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within the organization.

Implementation, Supervision, and Control

The Concern’s and Companies’ management, along with environmental specialists or other designated employees, are responsible for implementing this policy.

Employees, business partners, clients, suppliers, their employees, community representatives, and other stakeholders can submit anonymous or non-anonymous reports through this channel.

The Concern periodically reviews its Environmental Policy, adheres to its provisions, and sets specific environmental protection objectives and tasks for the Companies.
