Nitrogen (N2) is colourless, odourless, tasteless, non-toxic and chemically inert (i.e. non-reacting at low temperatures) gas.

In many fields of industry, nitrogen is considered useful and is used in reducing combustion processes and creation of protective environment in order to avoid oxidation processes.

Nitrogen is obtained from atmospheric air through deep freezing method. Nitrogen is filled in grey coloured cylinders with black shoulder, cylinder bundles, dewars, euro-cylinders and other cryogenic tanks.

We can fill the cylinders of other volumes as well. The clients buying a considerable amount of nitrogen are supplied with special storage tanks for the product and nitrogen is delivered with semitrailers.

Fields of industry

Chemical industry

Nitrogen is used as protective gas in order to protect raw-materials or production of liquid state from peroxides and contamination with oxygen components, when preparing catalysers and transporting polymeric powder. It is used in the production of ammonia and production of carbamide – a powdery fertiliser with high content of nitrogen – from ammonia. Compressed nitrogen gas is non-conducting, therefore, is used in high-voltage equipment and in order to ensure hermetic integrity of pipes.


Nitrogen is used for thermal processing of various metals, because it creates inert medium that prevents from oxidation process.


In order to protect semi-conductors and soldering processes from impurities and oxidation, nitrogen is used in the production of electronic parts (e.g. transistors, diodes, integrated circuits).

Transport and aviation

In order to increase longevity, reduce the likelihood of explosion and increase the stability of pressure, nitrogen is used as an alternative for the air in vehicle tires due to its property not to maintain moisture and oxidation. Nitrogen is suitable for military aviation fuel systems (to reduce the risk of combustion).


If nitrogen pushes the oxygen necessary for breathing out of the air, it causes asphyxia (suffocation). Liquid nitrogen can cause cryogenic frostbites. In order to avoid health risks, it is recommended to download the material safety data sheet and observe provided instructions.
