Oxygen is the most abundant element on Earth. O₂ is odourless, colourless and flavourless gas, whereas liquid oxygen acquires light blue colour. Oxygen density at 0°C and 101.325 kPa is 1.429 g/l, the melting point is -218.79°C, boiling point is -182.95°C and critical point is -118.59°C at 5.043 MPa.

       Oxygen is separated from atmospheric air by liquidising it and rectifying at low temperature. Oxygen is produced in compliance with the company standard of AB Achema and is filled into blue cylinders with white shoulder, cylinder bundles, Euro cylinders and other cryogenic tanks.

       The most important feature of oxygen is its reactivity. There are just few chemical elements that have no reaction with oxygen. Processes of oxidation and burning in the atmosphere saturated with oxygen are much faster than in normal air atmosphere. Due to this feature, oxygen is irreplaceable in numerous industrial production processes: steel and iron production, melting of non-ferrous metals, gas cutting of metals, metal processing, glass production as well as in a range of chemical industries. Moreover, oxygen is necessary for metabolism of most organisms and is well soluble in water. These features enable to use oxygen for water conditioning and environmental technologies, e.g. wastewater cleaning. Oxygen is also used for creation of artificial atmosphere.
