Gaschema, the branch of AB Achema, started its operations on 1^st January 2004. The main goal of establishing this branch was to develop the business of technical gas and AdBlue in the Baltic region by the direct cooperation with the users. 

        The main operations of the branch cover the trade in the following technical gas: alimentary and technical carbonic acid gas, technical oxygen, nitrogen, argon, acetylene, propane-butane and gas mixtures. In 2007, a new production line with the production capacity of up to 100 tons of carbonic acid gas a day was constructed and launched; the company obtained Coca-Cola certificates under which we can deliver carbonic acid gas to Coca-Cola production divisions in Eastern, Central and Southern Europe. Liquid carbonic acid gas has also been certified as food additive E290 and can be used for the production of carbonated beverages and other foodstuffs in compliance with the requirements HN 53. In 2008, we started selling the mixtures of argon-carbonic acid gas, carbonic acid gas-nitrogen, argon-carbonic acid gas-oxygen and other gas mixtures produced at AB Achema.

       In 2007, the branch Gaschema started trading in urea solution AdBlue.  AdBlue is a high-purity urea solution that can be used on EURO4 and EURO5 trucks fitted with SCR technology. AdBlue reduces pollution levels caused by cars, when during the chemical reaction, nitrogen oxide gas and solids present in car exhaust fumes are decomposed to absolutely harmless substances, i.e. water vapour and nitrogen.

       We deliver the production directly to the customer; we lease cylinders for all gases as well as cryogenic tanks; we design and install tanks for liquid carbonic acid gas with evaporation and pressure control, AdBlue tanks (dispensers) and 1m3 IBC containers with dispensing equipment; we consult our customers on the use of gas and operation of equipment; we install applied gas and cryogenic technologies, provide maintenance of gas cylinders and cryogenic vessels.

       Trade centres of Gaschema have been operating in Vilnius, Klaipėda and Šiauliai, whereas the design works of another trade centre in Kaunas are in progress. On 1^st January 2008, we started our activities in Latvia.

       Since 2004, our company has been under rapid development. Currently, the company employs 52 persons; the turnover has increased over 3 times and in 2007 it exceeded LTL 11 million. The company both sells its production in Lithuania and exports it to Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Belarus, Russia and Kaliningrad Region.
